The Bioenvironmental and Structural System (BESS) Laboratory is a research, product-testing and educational laboratory. The lab provides unbiased engineering data to aid in the selection and design of agricultural buildings and assists equipment manufacturers in developing better products. Included on this site are performance test results for:

• Agricultural ventilation fans.
• Agricultural circulating fans.
• Poultry light traps.

Additionally, the BESS Laboratory also performs airflow vs. static pressure tests on:

• Air inlets
• Greenhouse insect screening
